2016: Rainer will serve as a reserve walk-on junior
cornerback in 2016.
2015: Rainer was a reserve walk-on sophomore cornerback in
2015. He saw brief action in 1 game in 2015 (versus Idaho), but did not make
a tackle.
2014: Rainer redshirted as a reserve walk-on sophomore
cornerback in 2014.
2013: Rainer saw brief action in 1 game (California) as a
reserve walk-on first-year freshman cornerback in 2013. He came to USC from
College of the Canyons Junior College in Santa Clarita (Calif.), but he did
not play football there in 2012.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made the 2011 Prep Star All-West
Region, Cal-Hi Sports All-State fourth team and Los Angeles Daily News
All-Area second team as a senior defensive back and wide
receiver at Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks (Calif.), as he had 45 tackles,
3 interceptions (1 for a TD), 5 deflections and 2 forced fumbles on defense
and 6 receptions for 143 yards (23.8 avg.) with 2 TDs on offense, plus 100
returns yards.
As a 2010 junior, he had 8 catches for 55 yards (6.9 avg.).
He also sprinted for Notre Dame's track team.
PERSONAL: He is a political science major at USC. He is
fluent in Spanish and speaks some Korean.
